Set benefits for each tier. Higher tiers do not inherit lower-tier benefits.
Purchase points
In Earning rules → Points for purchases, set the points and spend amount for each tier. Leave both blank to use the standard rate.
Each complete spend increment earns points: 3 points per USD 2 gives 6 points on a USD 5 payment. Tier rates may be below, equal to or above standard.
The rate accepted for an order also governs its later payments and refunds.
Reward prices and eligibility
In Rewards, set eligibility and tier prices separately. A lower price does not grant access to a restricted reward.
Store credit overrides include both points and credit amount per conversion unit. Other reward types retain their configured benefit when point prices change.
Automatic discounts
In VIP tiers → Automatic Discounts, create a percentage discount, choose its tiers and configure any minimum purchase or maximum saving. Create saves it inactive; activate it separately.
Each tier can have one automatic discount. Shared edits affect every assigned tier. Release an assignment before moving it.
Online checkout requires sign-in, active VIP and an active discount. Changes take effect after Shopify updates. Both discounts must permit combinations.
Automatic shipping discounts are unavailable. Use a Free shipping reward instead.
