Exchange points for a Buy X get Y code. Set qualifying purchases and discounted or free reward items.
Review issued codes in Shopify Admin → Discounts.
Create the reward
- In Rewards, choose Create reward.
- Choose Buy X get Y.
- Enter a customer-facing Reward title and the Standard points price.
- Under Customer buys, choose a minimum item quantity or purchase amount, then select the qualifying products, variants, or collections.
- Under Customer gets, enter the quantity and select the products, variants, or collections that can receive the discount.
- Choose a percentage, an amount off each item, or Free.
- Optional: set a maximum number of uses per order.
- Set the combination, validity, and discount tag options.
- Preview, create, then activate from Rewards.
Define the qualifying purchase
Customer buys can be based on:
- a Minimum quantity of items; or
- a Minimum purchase amount.
Selected products, variants or collections determine which cart items count.
Define the reward items
Under Customer gets, choose the eligible quantity and products or collections. Then choose whether those items are:
- discounted by a percentage;
- discounted by a fixed amount per item; or
- free.
Customers must add qualifying and reward items to the cart. Codes do not add products.
Maximum uses per order limits repetitions. A Buy 2, get 1 free offer capped at one use gives one free item, even if the cart qualifies twice.
Combinations, validity, and tags
Choose whether the code can combine with product, order, or shipping
discounts. The Validity period starts when the customer redeems; leave it
blank for no expiry. Optional Discount tags help group the generated
discounts in Shopify Admin, and NASP Rewards adds its own nasp-rewards tag.
The offer applies to one-time purchases, not subscription renewals.
What the customer receives
Each code is single-use and customer-restricted. Customers copy it from the result or Your rewards. POS staff apply it at checkout.
Lifecycle and VIP options
New rewards start inactive. Edits preserve status. Deactivate before deleting. Issued rewards keep their terms.
Under Who can redeem, choose Everyone or Selected VIP tiers. For selected tiers, tick each eligible tier. Enter optional tier points prices; a blank price uses the standard points price. Prices do not change the benefit or grant access to an otherwise restricted reward.
