Earning rules

Set how much customers spend to earn points and choose when earning begins.

Create the rule

  1. In NASP Rewards, open Earning rules.
  2. Choose Create earning rule.
  3. Enter the Spend amount and Points earned.
  4. Choose the Program start date. Orders placed before this date do not earn points.
  5. Save.

Example: with a spend amount of 1 and 1 point earned, customers receive 1 point for every 1 unit of your store currency they pay.

Example: 1 point for every USD 1 paid, starting July 25, 2026.

How earning works

  • Points are based on the amount paid, in your store currency.
  • Only orders placed on or after the program start date earn points.
  • If you increase an order and collect another payment, the additional amount can earn more points.

Edit the rule

New orders use the updated rule. If you collect another payment for an existing order, it keeps the earning rate that first applied to that order. Points already awarded do not change.

Delete the rule

Deleting the earning rule stops new points from being awarded. Customers keep the points they already have.

When you create a replacement, choose the start date carefully. Backdating the rule can award points for older orders.
