Do not restore points until you know whether store credit was issued. If the credit exists and you restore the points, the customer keeps both.
Open the review
- Open the redemption from Needs attention on the NASP Rewards dashboard. You can also find it in Activity with the status Reconciling.
- Choose Review.
- Open the linked customer in Shopify Admin, then choose their Store credit balance to view recent transactions.
If store credit was issued
Your Shopify account needs the Store credit and View store credit transactions permissions for these checks. Ask the store owner for access if you cannot open the transaction history.
- Find the matching Shopify store credit transaction for the same customer, amount, currency, and time.
- If needed, open Analytics → Reports and find Store credit transactions. Copy the Store credit ID from the matching row.
- Enter the full credit transaction ID and a review note in NASP Rewards. If Shopify shows only a number, contact support rather than changing or guessing the ID.
- Choose Confirm issued.
If you cannot identify one exact matching transaction, contact support rather than guessing.
If store credit was not issued
- Confirm there is no matching store credit transaction in Shopify.
- Choose Restore points.
- Enter a review note and confirm.
The points may take a few minutes to reappear. If restoration remains pending, return to the same review and choose Retry restoration.
Shopify explains the report fields in its store credit reports guide.
