Customer rewards requires Shopify's current customer accounts, formerly called new customer accounts. They are not available with legacy customer accounts.
Adding the page does not add its menu link. Complete both sections below so customers can find and open Customer rewards.
NASP Rewards includes multilingual Customer rewards out of the box in English, Traditional Chinese, and Simplified Chinese. It follows your Shopify Markets and language setup, with reward titles translated through Shopify Metaobjects and the free Translate & Adapt app. Follow Translate Customer rewards.
What customers can do
Customer rewards brings the customer-facing parts of the loyalty program into one Shopify customer-account page:
- Rewards overview shows the current balance, points expiry, and compact links to Points history and redeemed rewards. Redeem points opens the current offers when the customer has enough points.
- Ways to redeem lists every active Store Credit, Amount off products, Amount off order, Buy X get Y, and Free shipping reward the customer can afford. Store Credit supports any whole multiple of its conversion unit; other rewards have a fixed point cost.
- Reward details shows the eligible products, variants, or collections for an Amount off products reward before the customer commits their points.
- Redemption progress shows points being deducted, the reward being issued, and the final Store Credit amount or discount code. Customers can return to an in-progress redemption from the overview.
- Your rewards keeps a complete, newest-first history of successful redemptions. Customers can copy every discount code again and see how many points each reward used.
- Welcome Gift appears above the balance while it is available to claim.
- Visit and earn opens the shop’s currently available Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, X, YouTube, LinkedIn, and website rewards.
- Birthday rewards lets customers save or edit their birthday. The form asks for a year only when you enable that setting on the birthday rule.
- Points history shows recent earnings and redemption debits with signed point amounts and dates.
- Localized customer copy follows the language Shopify resolves for the signed-in customer. Reward titles use the matching Shopify translation when one is available and otherwise fall back to the source title.
Completed one-time rewards disappear from the active claim view. Their points and description remain in Points history. Successful redemptions remain in Your rewards even after a code is used or expires.
Add the page
-
In Shopify Admin, go to Settings → Checkout.
-
In Configurations, choose Customize for the customer-account configuration you use, normally Store default.
-
Open the Apps panel. Find NASP Rewards → Customer rewards.
-
Choose the add button beside Customer rewards, then add the page to Accounts.
-
Choose Save.
Add the menu link
-
In the Customer rewards information box, choose Add to menu.
-
Choose Customer account main menu. Keep the label as Customer rewards, or enter the customer-facing name you prefer.
-
Save the menu, then save the customer accounts editor if Shopify shows unsaved changes.
If Add to menu is missing
The page may already be installed without a menu item. Add the link directly:
- In Shopify Admin, go to Content → Menus.
- Open Customer account main menu.
- Choose Add menu item.
- Set the label to Customer rewards.
- For the link, choose Apps → Customer rewards from NASP Rewards.
- Save the menu.
Verify the customer view
- Sign in to the store as a customer.
- Confirm Customer rewards appears beside Orders and Profile.
- Open it and confirm the points balance, Redeem points, View history, and Your rewards load.
- If Welcome Gift or visit rewards are active and not yet claimed, confirm the corresponding claim or Visit and earn link appears.
- Open Birthday rewards, save a birthday, and confirm it does not add points immediately.
- Open Points history and confirm recent earnings and redemptions appear newest first.
- Open Ways to redeem and confirm every affordable active reward appears. Open an Amount off products offer and check its eligible products or collections. Redeem a test offer and wait for the progress page to show the credit or code.
- Open Your rewards, confirm the new reward appears, and copy its code when applicable.
- If the customer has expiring points, confirm every upcoming expiry amount, date, and time appears. If some points do not expire, confirm that amount appears separately.
Customer-account pages and menus are configured per store. Complete this setup separately on each store.
Shopify also documents this workflow in Customizing customer accounts pages.
